I love the great Braxton recordings of the 1970's like the "Montreux-Berlin (75) or Dortmund ( 76 ) or Basel ( 77 ) concerts and I'm very happy to discover such beautiful and inventive versions of the 40 or 23 series. Braxton music is a continent and the journey is always worthwhile. Original compositions by Axioms are very interesting too !

the artists seem to downplay their achievement as something they just tossed together in the living room during pandemic lock down. Yet, it is a highly original take on the classic drums/sax duo. A huge range of musical ground is covered, and emotional content. A great album in any context, I listen to it often.
